At last the awaiting results came in. And guess what, the results were in MDP's favour and their candidate won yesterday's election for a re-vote on Thimarafushi ballot boxes.

It's time to say bye-bye to Maumoon and his relatives and the country shall move on. People had said a big 'no' to another 5 years and now they have said a 'no' once again to his puppet son Ghassan Maumoon, whose national identity card number happens to be A000004 (one of the best evidence that Maumoon used the government resources illegaly and unduly).

Yet there is another problem and a questionable thought! Would Maumoon accept his defeat NOW? Will he force Ghassan to file a suite before the high court, claiming Thimarafushi islanders were not working for the best interest of him, and asking for a re-election?

What a joke! Hey Ghassan, Let me tell you something. Do not dare to make such a move. Or else it is your character at stake. Your dear father 'fulhu' got the chance to get out of politics and to work for the best interest of the country! But he blew it. Do not go on in his path. Do not sweat on it. You will be rejected, yet again. That is my humble suggestion to you.

DRP-PA coalition MPs need to work in full gear to protect their beloved former president being investigated, prosecuted and convicted. Or else they might be sorry later on. And yeah, Omar is not a solution. He never was, but he himself is a problem.

Another Fucking Decision by Islamic Ministry

I was surprised to know that Air Tel dish are getting banned without prior notice being given to the users, and I have come across different versions of comments from various people on this.

I, too, is of the view that it should not be banned. This Islamic ministry has decided upon such an issue without even considering public interest, which is the main thing they preach about except for their strict ideologies. But where is this so called public interest in this case?

I am sure no Maldivian would want to pay MRF 300 or MRF 500 for some 30 or 40 channels! and by God, they have been paying it for as long as they remember. Ok, I get it, this decision was pursued just because medianet and bnet or mesco would be wound up if Air Tel dish are taking shape like this, because they totally depend on this. But have not they been earning that wholesome income for this long? well, it seems they are not working for the public and to serve the public as they claim. if not why do not they atleast cut the price or compromise things a little bit? ( i thought majority counts, but here i see a different image )

Another lousy issue the Islamic ministry has come up with is taking Religion as a tool. The earlier government used it as a political tool messing it here and there and now the current islamic ministry is using it as a financial tool. WTF!
They say there is no mechanism to block that particular God TV. But I have known that it can be blocked and it's just an excuse.

When will we be free?????? we can change the government and the president, yet i see we are restrained from being free.

Surely, if there is ever a rally or assembly regarding this issue, i would chose to be on their side. :D
lets wait and see the next decision they make! i can guarantee you it will be far worse than this.

A Sickening Sight!

why is every Maldivian so into death penalty?
how come they think of it as the ultimate solution?
it seems like they are romantically in love with that!

they say it will solve everything.
they say it is the ideal solution for paedophiles, molesters and even to criminals.
but is that it?

i don't think so. what i say is death penalty is not for Maldives and Maldivians.
it just wont suit us.
in fact, it will create more problems and bring our economy down.
and those sickening death penalty talk coming from MP's is much worse.

i mean they are the ones to think about such issues directly affecting our country and they are the one who are supposed to see the big picture out there and frame our laws according to the vast effects which might come with the package when and if we start to give death penalties.

we are a small country! we have no resources of our own except our beaches which is not flexible and not permanent..
we totally depend on other countries..
we are the ones who are under a global threat..
yet we are the one talking about legalising death penalty and implementing those?
well, well, i salute their gut.
but, please do not lead our country to another destruction where all the countries would cut down all funds and we will be 'shut-down'

yeah! we are 100 or so percent Moslem and there it is Halal to give death penalty!
but should not we observe the current situation?

Poor People of Kanditheemu

can anyone think of an island where they get no tv signal?
i can.
believe it or not, while our free times are occupied with famous tv programmes
and popular shows, there is one island where they do not get to watch any such thing!!!

for people of Sh. Kanditheemu, tv signal has now become a past thing.
almost all the people have accepted the dull truth and have accustomed
themselves to their 'no-more-tv-channels' routine.
but i find it hard to imagine and difficult to believe that one island has been deprived
of tv signal for this long.

they have been going through this ever since that dreary day when Dhiraagu antenna tower in that island was struck by lightning.

not long ago.

Freedom of Religion

it seems that the current Constitution of the Maldives is acknowledged by many States as exemplary and ideal.
it also seems that almost all the fundamental rights with regard to Universal Declaration of Human Rights are being provided by the current Constitution, except few things intentionally ignored.

my question is why then there is no mention of freedom of religion in this particular constitution or rather why is it being abolished?
i know you would come up with something like its a 100 percent Moslem country and so and so.

let me make it clear that i too am aware of it and the provisions regarding Islam prescribed in the Constitution.
but i still find it hard to gulp down the idea of depriving the right to choose someone's religion freely.
as far as Islam is concerned, it does not compel anyone to embrace it.
and it was tolerated by the Prophet.. then who are these ignorant intolerable people messing here and there in the name of religion???

i personally do not mind co-existing with other residents practicing their religion and their culture.

seems like am the only college student who roam around there

i do not want to let go of anyone.
dammit, the last thing i would want is multitude of problems at this stage of my life.

i think i have temper problems.
but then anyone who lives a life like mine is deemed to be.
damn, this is not how i want it.
is not there going to be a true ending?
everything is supposed to be ending happily-ever-after
but that is far from reality.

everything is at stake.
my life is in jeopardy.
we are going to be ruined.
life might not be normal anymore.

here is a legal question for you.
i was having my Const. lecture today
we were discussing about the provisions of article 9 of Maldives New Constitution
and somehow i came up with this question.

WHAT IF SOMEONE RENOUNCES ISLAM?
WILL HE BE DENIED CITIZENSHIP?
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO HIM?
WHAT ARE HIS LEGAL RIGHTS?

for your reference article 9 (a) prescribes 3 circumstances when a person
can be a citizen of Maldives.

Article 9(a)(1)
'citizens of the Maldives at the commencement of this constitution.'

Article 9(a)(2)
'children born to a citizen of the Maldives.'

Article 9(a)(3)
'foreigners who, in accordance with the law, become citizens of the Maldives.'

while forming your argument you might consider this one.
'the same article provision (b) states that no citizen of the Maldives
maybe deprived of citizenship.'

and everything gets mixed up with the article 9(d) which says,
'despite the provision of article 9(a, a non-Muslim may not become a citizen of the Maldives'

now what is your argument?

second, i HATE Amira. i even do today.

i have some personal grounds with her because she disallowed me to go to IBS to do this networking course.
i wanted to spit on her for threatening to bring my parents just because i would not have her way and argue about it.
simply i cannot stand her.

third, i met this girl in the same class as mine.
i loved her.
she loved me. or she used to tell so.
in the end, this beard-father of her could not stand to see us being together.
you know why? because i did not grow my beard.:)
dammit.

fourth, i lost my interest in studies then and there.

sixth, i was continuously sick with this inevitable problems of mine.

a dull place it was for the study part.
but the fun part is unlimited.
teachers stink there.. except for this Dhivehi miss i loved..

the thing is i am all loaded up with assignments
and my this boring lecturer has burdened me with
the most dull topics a person can ever come across to write a composition.
a composition of 500 or so words.

it is not the word limit or anything.
i just hate the topics he chose.
it is like these.

2. the benefits of modern technology
3. the reasons and effects of over-crowding in male'

all are so predictable topics and it needs interests to write which i unfortunately lack
you see this is where i need help.
i need ideas on this. :)

should i update with the on-going legal controversy where a parliament which has no legal authority gathers to chit-chat about latest affairs?
no.. i don't think so.. there are too many people wasting their energy on that.

nope, that would be too dull to listen to.

should i go about family matters which drive me crazy by the end of the day?
should i keep you informed on the ways how i am being emotionally tortured?

i believe there are so many absurdities regarding them.
there are so many questions which need to be clarified.
too many mysteries to be solved.

An Ideal World

i was having my lunch in a cafe',

and there came these two men who seemed very confident and all.

i was not surprised when they ordered for a coffee.
but which surprised me was the time which took them to empty their cups.

none can take that right away from me.

POOR 'SHE' COULD NOT UTTER A WORD BUT REMAINED SHOCKED WASTING 5 OR SO MINUTES OF HER LIFE, TRYING TO CLOSE THOSE SHITTY MATERIALS.

No Big Deal

i was watching this thing today and the motion was
'this house believes that after gaza, arab unity is dead and buried'
i cannot think of a reason why they shud come up with such a 'no-more' topic in the first place.

everyone knows to what extent arab unity lies
and there really is no need to create a fuss about it.
i mean why cannot they rest the matter.
as one of the participant said it all lies in sitting back and discussing/chatting.
that's it. they wont go any further than that.

one of the panelist who talked for the motion implied all the people are united
and the only problem lies with the leaders.
i was laughing when the moderator asked if he meant that their leaders are not people:)

as for maldivians it is;
the day to exchange gifts between valentines
the day to appreciate each other
the day to buy flowers
the day to go for long drives and walks
the day to ask and propose.
this simply is valentines day among us.
so wats the harm in celebratin it?

i mean we don't celebrate it because we believe in the story behind it.
wtf.... we dont even care abt that god-damn story.
to heck with that cock and bull story.
i surely wont buy it. never ever.
what matters for me is that we get the joy after celebrating..
we get bit of fun arranged.

i know some might disagree with me..
they might even say like, why does it have to be this particular 14th?
why cant we celebrate it some other day
and 'for me everyday is like a valentines day'
crap!!! if as they say, everyday happen to be a Vday,
then why do they dnt spend time together on each day,
why dont they do things together which will make their bond stronger?
